Admittedly, as much as I love Bowie, I hardly ever listen to his stuff after the 80s. I believe that period was his downloss. But recently after acquiring into Heathen (an album which I adore), I came across this song. "You feel so lonely you can die"

I wanted to hear what are your thoughts on this track. Who is it for? What is Bowie thinking? Is it Angie? Is he having a conversation with himself knowing that the finish is coming? Is it for someone else?

It is mournful. Sounds prefer Five years - an impending finish .

"I can check out you as a corpse hanging from a beam I deserve to review you prefer a book I can feel you falling I hear you moaning in your room Oh, check out if I care Oh, please, please make it soon"

I love digging into his songs!

You are watching: You feel so lonely you could die

This song is so underrated one of my favorites off TND. I’ve heard it’s created around some ex Soviet assassin or individual that turned their friends in and are now left with the memory tens of years later. I think this could be part of it however I think that honestly this takes a little of the heart out of the song and also see it more as a more personal lament probably disguised as, or at leastern affected by somepoint else. Much favor some of the the songs off Blackstar being affected by old plays however having actually deeper meanings
