Inquiry of the day: Wright here does the Red Brick Roadway in Wizard of Oz go? Here is the answer from Askville:In the original series of Oz publications composed by L. Frank Baum the red brick road goes to the Quadling Country in Oz. Red is the Quadlings' state color. In his books, the Land of Oz was split right into 4 quadrants and also each was designated a details color: Winkie Country = Yellow, Gillikin Country = Purple, Munchkin Counattempt = Blue, and Quadling Country = Red. Glinda the Good was the leader of the Quadlings in L. Frank Baum's Oz series. As her bubble floats ameans from Munchkinland in the 1939 film, it appears to be adhering to the red brick road. Thus, the red brick road a lot of most likely leads back to her homeland also, Quadling Country.

5.Baum was not particularly regular on points favor this.

They can adjust from one book to the next. Then again, there was no red brick road in the books. Tright here were, however, at least two yellow brick roads.

7.I thrived up LOVING the series of Oz books as did MiddleFingerMom in HER childhood.

...I had the good pleacertain of reading some of them to her in her last stperiods of Alzheimer's (once she had actually pretty much returned to her childhood). Both of us via GIANT smiles on our faces as we dove back into that people wholeheartedly....When I was growing up, we had hardbound duplicates from around 1918 and some from approximately 1937. The last publications had fantastic color plate illustrations, but the earlier ones had actually MUCH much better pen-and-ink illustrations (I bet the Nome King from those STILL has the power to offer me nightmares - below is a book cover from 1927 -- not even CLOSE to the terrifying results of that fat li'l hairround via stubby arms and legs marching on Oz)....The Nome King, BTW, obtained "about the Deadly and/or Impassable Deserts by tunneling UNDER them....I very recommend any kind of of the several dozen books from the series to youngsters of any kind of age....
